Their PR statements are the most annoying crap. They never answer to anyone, always going around your question and ending their answer with a generic statement.

I am pretty sure Nintendo will eventually get round to releasing DDOC in the Americas. I mean they'd be mad not to. It's potentially the game's biggest market. Well, i'm quite sure it would be it's biggest market by a long way. Maybe they are reworking it for a later release or something? I can't see a shrewd company like Nintendo going to all the trouble and financial expenditure of buying out Monolith and then just letting their games crash and burn.

DDOC was a test game from Monolith-the controls and other elements were test runs of elements to be used in an RPG, which is now known to be Monado. I'll find a source for that if I can.

Monado will be a much bigger release than DDOC, Iwata has stated in the past he believes Nintendo needs an inhouse RPG franchise capable of competing with FF, and that Monolith Soft would be involved in that.

And as for the interview-when pressed about upcoming products and release dates, execs may dodge the question simply because they don't have an answer. I doubt the guy interviewed knows when or if Span Smasher will make it to NA.

@ ASriel. Thanks. I didn't know anything about that. Still seems a shame they won't release it in the Americas though. I think it would do well and maybe even make some money. As well as RPGs Nintendo also needs games like DDOC in-house too, though.

It is really short-sighted to think that one region's sales tendencies are the same as another. Many games sold terribly in Europe on the Wii when they excelled in America.

Nintendo's seal means nothing. It is on every Wii game,even Ninjabread Man.  The seal is more of system compatibility than it is quality.  Nintendo's lineup is way too weak to just pass up on game's like Disaster because they aren't 9.0 or above. The game is not terrible either, so them not releasing it stateside is just lost money and frustratingly wasted effort.

And of course the games at E3 aren't confirmed, that's what an official comfirmation is for. Of the games that might not make it over here, Monado is the only one I can really care about.
