Took the kids opening weekend. Pretty good, thought Tom Felton walked away with best performance from the young 'uns as Draco.

Usual mix of effects and humour with the constant battle to keep the story coherent.

Still adore Alan Rickman's voice.

Didn't pip Azkaban as the best adaption for me, but I do like the cinematography and style of this and the previous one.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I liked it... a few things missing from the book, and a few things added that weren't in the book, but all in all... entertaining.

seen it, it was fairly good

Harry Potter & The Phillosophers Stone - 7.5/10
Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets - 7.5/10
Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban - 6/10
Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire - 7.5/10
Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix - 6.5/10
Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince - 7.5/10

Too high. That..."film" ruined my fav book in the series...I'll hate it forever for that

meh, i didnt actively "hate" any of them, but that was definetley the one i liked least though.

the fifth film was ok, but it was based on the weakest book imo.

It was a good movie, but there were some really corny and hilarious lines. The younger actors are just so laughably terrible, even with years of practice. Alan Rickman is still running circles around the rest of the cast.

I still miss Richard Harris as Dumbledore. Shame he died. Gambon is not a good substitute, for me. But I've been saying this since the 3rd film.

^^

Well, let's face it, you've got the cream of British heavyweight acting thesps all through these films - hardly surprising kids who seemed to fit the bill when they were much younger haven't turned out to be amazing after all.

I did think Tom Felton (Draco) made a fair show of inner torment as he grapples with the conflicting emotions of doing what he believes is right, fear for his family and the pressure to step over the line from privileged bully to murderer.

As for humor, given how British (and based on boarding school cliches) it all is, even tweaked to be a little more international, I'm amazed it travels as well as it seems to.

I hated it. Its marginally better than the last one but I loathe the Order of the Pheonix in book and movie form. Why change the ending? It was perfect in the book and was executed stupidly. I curse both the screenwriter and director non stop afterwards.

Another thing that pissed me off the movie has been done for over a year. There were test screenings for fans and NO ONE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE ENDING? I put up will all the bad dialogue and stupid additions and subtractions only because I wanted to see the ending as it was supposed to be but NO. Fuck Steve Kloves.

The movies go like this.
1) Azkiban (one of the best family fantasy films of all time, this movie changed my life)
2) Chambers
3) Goblet
4) Sorcerers
5) Prince
6) Order

I haven't yet, the series is pretty good but I'll wait till it comes out on DVD.

Saw it, a solid 7-8/10.
