Forums - PC - Resident Evil 5 System Requirements Revealed

True, but the educated ones tend to brain drain, which is great for them but sucks for the country. The two straight A girls are in the US and Australia. Anothdr girl got a scholarship to China, I managed to get onto the reserve list (up to today, I have no idea what that means) but my bloody passport wasnt ready so I couldn't go.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

HAHAHA!!

I love how they recommend Vista and the xbox controller. I hope they bring it to Mac so I can play with a Wiimote

You do know the 360 controller is just a standard USB device, don't you? In fact, there's a version branded specifically for Windows.

Some game genres (third person shooters, platformers, sports games) are easier to control with a gamepad. Some (FPS's, RTS's) are better with a mouse and keyboard. RE5 fits into the former category, hence the recommendation to use a gamepad.

BTW, if you do want to use your Wiimote on a Mac, then start here. You'll probably need to boot into Windows and it'll no doubt be a bit of a pain, but it can be done, it just won't be recommended as a way of playing RE5.

I already have a program that lets me use my Wiimote on my mac. It's good to know that there is something that'll let me use it on my windows lappy too - oh wait, it doesnt have bluetooth :(

And if you actually put the sensor bar on top of your compy, it is very much a recommended way of playing all games

Couldn't you just get a cheap little bluetooth dongle? I'm thinking about getting one so I can use my headset, but I'm thinking it'll also work with the PS3 controller as well as a Wii controller.

That's quite a bit required.

System requirements are highly subjective to the developer. I would just download the demo and see how it runs.

I don't know if there's a demo out yet, but there's always the benchmark utility

Decent review on IGN. Not as many extras as SF4 had, but it looks another good PC release from Capcom. The review mentions screen tearing- surely turning on VSync would solve that?

Anyway, in the UK, you can pre-order this for £16.95 from Zavvi (or about £16.35 if you go through Quidco/ Topcashback) which is cheaper than Amazon and much cheaper than Steam.

Holy crap, I just saw the IGN review and I'm very excited to see crosshairs there instead of that shitty laser dot (since the benchmark program only showed gameplay with the laser dot). Hot-key inventory sounds like a nice feature too.

I don't think you need that high end of a rig to handle it either like the review video implies. My dual core e2160 overclocked to 3.0ghz and 8800gt handled the benchmark took pretty well. Sure, the CPU is overclocked, but that series of CPU is bottom of the barrel. While I obviously can't crank up the resolution to the very max, the only downside to it on my computer was the fact that I only have a 4:3 monitor.
