It's weird how they recommend the 360 controller for a PC game. Might as well get the 360 version.
Pixel Art can be fun.

So, we arent good enough to earn 500-700 bux as a receptionist? Oh, and 1 dollar used to be 3500 before this bloody recession, so she earned more. I acknowledge that of 30% in formal employment, only like 5% can afford gaming, and thats roughly 650,000 people, and Im one of them. Africa isnt as backward as you think, just google earth any city like mine, Lusaka, zoom in and look around, east, west, north. Sure theres poverty, but theres other stuff too. |
I dont know what 'Tuition' is.
I'm sure you are 'good enough to earn that bux', but what has that to do with anything if reality is what it is and a nation's economy is weak?
Google Earth, isnt that just an online map where I can zoom in on satellite pics? What would that teach me about Lusaka more than seeing a bunch of roof tops?

Yes, somebody has a computer that ran the benchmark tool well enough and now they should go buy a 360 and the 360 version just because it recommended a controller :P
So I shouldnt play games or do anything else I enjoy cause my country happens to be poor? Zeds Economy isnt great but its trying for a country thats 40 years old and mainly dependant on 1 unprocessed export (copper), you've been at it for over 200 years plus extra "experience" from Europe, trade *cough*Atlantic*cough* and lets not forget the good old "Slavery & Colonies stimulous package" and years of virtually no competition from anyone else as well as other significant advantages such as infrastructure, military power etc etc. And why'd we swith from RE5 to economies anyway? "Good enough to earn dat bux", I hate slanging and I hate rap so please dont. Spending 3,500,000 for a PS3 is stupid for me (I dont even have a damn HD TV on top of that, my uber rich friend does however) when less than 1 mil is enough for a good PSU and a 9800GT. See? happy? Cheaper? Heck I could even buy the 512MB GeForce 8400 locally, it'ld probably suck but would still be enough to run RE5 at medium or high at lower resolutions.

Your attitude sux. Why are you so hostile?
Why did you bring a moral discussion and history into this? I made a modern day comparison to some Western European nations and mid-income nations around the world in relation to your $6-700 receptionist salary figure, implying that I doubt Zambia's salaries are anywhere near the levels of those countries. It doesn't matter if you Zambians tried hard or if you morally deserve the same standards, because that's a different subject. I was asking you about the reality in your country, not about your fantasy world.
I never used slang like 'earn dat bux' in my post lol. You used 'bux' in a sentence and I just quoted you.
Im not hostile, Im calm, probably just not choosing the right words(English isnt first language) plus Im using a phone so I sometimes forget and use SMSy expressions. Ignore the historical low blow and bux must have been an SMSy. However my sister DOES get paid that amount, some people CAN afford gaming, and yes in some situations PC gaming is CHEAPER okay. I wont start with the moral crap but leave the damn Zambian economy out of it. Just imagine a stable family with both parents earning 4 to 5 mil each, thats enough to spend some on gaming. If its so out of reach why do they bother selling them locally anyway? And this fantasy, Ive already mentioned that only 30% of people are in formal employment the rest informal or unemployed, didnt deny it. But, Im not going to deny that many people also have PS2s, PS3s/360s and lappys/pcs and live relatively cummfy lives. I dont know why its so hard for you to believe? If African gaming is so low, then why do we have PCFormat? or Gear? or Gamer or Liberty Lan or rAge?
Wait, its "impossible" for a Zambian to get paid more than an Italian? Thats like saying its impossible for a Zambian kid or any other kid from a poor country to get a better grades than an American kid. Thats retarded. I got 7 As and 2 Bs in Cambridge GCE O level exams, 1 guy and 2 girls in my class got straight As, Im sure they got better grades than A LOT of British/American kids. But that cant be right...they're...from a poor country.

Ok, cool.
I have no problem getting that there's an elite that can afford all sorts of stuff, i was objecting about your description of the layers in your society (and lack thereof), and how you made it sound it's perfectly normal to get a $700 salary over there. Meanwhile a typical Chinese worker earns $200 per month.
Anyway, I believe you have mostly described the lifes and resources of the priviliged people that you tend to have around you.
But it don't matter. I still find it fascinating that you have the same way of thinking like the rest of us (if I may say so), when describing what's an expensive PC and whats an affordable one.

Oh no, now you start again lol.
Not impossible, but hard. Less people get the opportunity to get a higher education in your country, and educated people with good grades will tend to get get less paid there than in the West.
