Ignore the historical low blow and bux must have been an SMSy. However my sister DOES get paid that amount, some people CAN afford gaming, and yes in some situations PC gaming is CHEAPER okay. I wont start with the moral crap but leave the damn Zambian economy out of it. Just imagine a stable family with both parents earning 4 to 5 mil each, thats enough to spend some on gaming. If its so out of reach why do they bother selling them locally anyway? And this fantasy, Ive already mentioned that only 30% of people are in formal employment the rest informal or unemployed, didnt deny it. But, Im not going to deny that many people also have PS2s, PS3s/360s and lappys/pcs and live relatively cummfy lives. I dont know why its so hard for you to believe? If African gaming is so low, then why do we have PCFormat? or Gear? or Gamer or Liberty Lan or rAge? |
Ok, cool.
I have no problem getting that there's an elite that can afford all sorts of stuff, i was objecting about your description of the layers in your society (and lack thereof), and how you made it sound it's perfectly normal to get a $700 salary over there. Meanwhile a typical Chinese worker earns $200 per month.
Anyway, I believe you have mostly described the lifes and resources of the priviliged people that you tend to have around you.
But it don't matter. I still find it fascinating that you have the same way of thinking like the rest of us (if I may say so), when describing what's an expensive PC and whats an affordable one.
