Im happy to see Capcom put more effort on PC versions of their games. These specs are pretty reasonable, Im sure It'll look great, hope aiming uses the mouse.

:),

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Geez, massive specs. I wonder if it's just extremely poorly optimized, or if it actually needs that much power.

Wii/PC/DS Lite/PSP-2000 owner, shameless Nintendo and AMD fanboy.

My comp, as shown to the right (click for fullsize pic)

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3.2 GHz

Memory: 8 GB A-Data DDR3-1600
Motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD Pro/USB3
Primary Storage: OCZ Vertex 120 GB
Case: Cooler Master HAF-932
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Extra Storage: WD Caviar Black 640 GB,
WD Caviar Black 750 GB, WD Caviar Black 1 TB

Wii Friend Code: 2772 8804 2626 5138 Steam: jefforange89

Kinda low specs if I say so myself

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Meh. I don't think I've seen a game other than GTA4 that actually recommended a quad-core processor, and it was extremely poorly optimized, wasn't it?

Either way, I'm sure I'll be able to run this at 1080p, everything on max, at a great framerate, so it's no problem to me.

Exactly. It's poorly optimized, that's guaranteed by looking at those requirements and knowing Capcoms history on PC ports.

Low specs, most likely I will be monitor bottlenecked (meaning that even on my highest res I will reach framerates well above my refresh rate)

:P

Historically, I'd agree, although some of their PC ports were actually done by other developers. But their more recent PC 'ports' (which I think were actually developed on the PC), such as DMC 4 and Street Fighter 4 have been superb technically and also feature some nice extras over the console versions. According to Wikipedia-

The Windows version of Resident Evil 5 will feature online play for co-operative play sessions over the internet and will also take advantage of NVIDIA’s new GeForce 3D Vision technology (wireless 3D Vision glasses sold separately).[37] The PC version will also have exclusive contents, such as new costumes and an improved Mercenaries minigame

There is quite a gap between the minimum and recommended specs given, suggesting that the engine is very scalable so should run fine on most people's PCs.

Oh, there's a benchmark tool available as well- http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/59563

^I dont know if u can draw that conclusion that it's actually scalable, but let's hope so.

Im just still very sceptic after GTA4 on PC.

Now Rockstar deserve all the bad rep for their PC ports that they get. They've used some horrendous engines over the years from that Renderware crap they used for the GTA 3 games, to the dreadful hopelessly unoptimised pile of toss they used for GTA 4 and Bully.
