But games of high demand like Gran Turismo... Call of Duty... Halo etc. are system sellers.

Even Killzone boosted PS3 hardware.

^ It has diminished, but certain games still play a large role and can be the determining factor in someone buying a console.

It's diminished because nowadays there is so much more to consoles than just games, and these things need to be thought about before buying one.

Would people who are waiting for GT5 before buying the PS3 not have got a bit bored by now?

Forza was mentioned by ps3 fans/non 360 owners in this thread long before 360 fans turned up.

So in conclusion, GT 5 will obviously win in sales.............. but the better game based on recent performances is Forza.

The discussion may have moved towards GT5 v FM3 sales, but prior to that Forza was getting some stick from ps3 fans.

It's not a case of rising above it, it's a case of disagreeing with those who say GT is better almost by default.

All I can say is that if the PS3 slim rumours DO turn out to be true then I'd believe this to be true as they're probably gonna use GT5 to make people buy the Slim!

If they bring back the backwards capability then I say Slim + BC + Uncharted 2, LBP & GT5 in a bundle for £300 in the UK or less = me sold! For me it's the price and the fact that only those games and MGS4 are the games I'm interested in that it's the only console I haven't bought yet!

As for the sales I have no idea yet but the PS3 will outsell the 360 for at least 3 weeks but I don't know if they can keep the momentum going or not.
