I think Brian Lamb, founder of C-SPAN would make an excellent President.

His intelligence is unquestioned, he’s well liked among both political parties, and he has a sense of political and historical understanding that’s probably unmatched in.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

I gave Obama the benefit of the doubt, I wasn't going to judge him until he actually did something...

Now that I have seen what he is capable of, I do not like him, His campaign was filled with promises I doubt he will ever fulfill.

To think the best America could come up with is McCain and Obama...

Those are the candidates the media came up with.  Those are the candidates that got the most positive coverage.

Vote Sarah Palin in! I can't believe she got so much support sespite thinking Africa was a country.

hmm.......maybe some US citizens thoguht she wsa right...

She claims she could also see Russia from her house in Alaska, Is pro guns and pro war but opposes abortion, Hates gays, Claimed to have been 8 months pregnant with no bump and called Afghanstan a 'neighbouring country'... She should so run for president in 2012 (It's an improvement on Dubya anyway lol).

Where's Al Gore when you need him?

He should have being voted in a long time ago. Well if the voters had any sense, i mean he was one of the most inteliigent men ever to run for presidency and he even had 3 purple hearts!

Also but opposes abortion, Hates gays, Is a common teaching/interpretation of the bible.

"You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. (Leviticus 18:22, NNAS)

"Thou shalt not kill"

It also applies to my quote in my sig quite perfectly

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. — Edward Gibbon

No, Tina Faye made the claim that she could see Russia from her house, I doubt anyone is really "Pro-War" as much as people are for protecting the interests and the freedom of their country, I have seen no evidence to support any claim about hating gay people, and I thought the (moronic) claim that her son was really her grandson died when her teenage daughter was pregnant ...

Al Gore is off selling a hoax which (if he is successful) allow him to sell the snake oil of the next century to make billions of dollars of profit without providing any benefit.

I hate him. he is a idiot. he shouldn't have won office. When I heard that he was going to be president i got physically sick. He is going to run this country(the greatest country in the world) into the ground.

Tell us how you really feel =P

Actually true story I had something awful on election night myself....I don't think it was stress-induced like yours was but I was doubled over in pain and/or sleeping in a cold sweat for most of the night.  I always did think it was kind of ironicly symbolic =P

PS - I didn't even have any election results until early morning around like 4 am when I got up to throw up and checked real quick.

then who should be president.

Don't say Sarah Palin, if you say Sarah Palin...

lol

Sqrl says "Sarah Palin".

Seriously though, I don't know who I would prefer right now but I'd take Palin over Obama given how he has done thus far.....granted I don't think either of them have even half the experience it requires to be president.  With Obama you can see the inexperience in the mistakes he has made from the way he has let Pelosi control his legislative agenda to his overuse of the stump without advancing the debate and even miscalculating the power and prestige of the office in several PR snaffus now.  Impossible to know if Palin's inexperience would have been more or less pronounced than Obama's but I'd take my chances with her if it was him or her...

Meh. I think he's doing good for the hand he was dealt. He's done much, much better than Dubya and his master, Darth Cheney.

@ PSRock - +1

Don't take this wrong way but the fact that you aren't shouting about how fantastic he is doing but instead saying "well he's done good.....considering" I think that kinda tells the story of just how bad he has been doing.  I'm just saying you're one of the most pro-Obama posters and if you didn't give an unqaulified "hell ya" about his performance it kinda says something.

HappySquirrel beat me to correcting this but I would like to point out that this is what comes from buying into your own jokes.  You laugh at them so long you believe them.  Frankly, it's not surprising you hate/dislike Palin so much considering some of the false and unsubstantiated things you believe about her (there are plenty of legit reasons for someone with your views to dislike her of course).

Not to be harsh but this is the same territory as the birthers (ie Obama birth certificate conspiracy people).  For them, on whatever topic is at hand they only hear info from within their bubble and they get some pretty skewed and completely wrong things stuck in their head as being true.  I know you're not trying to be that guy...so don't ....I mean seriously "Hates gays"...you're just going to state it like a fact? Really?  You're better than that joking or not.

To Each Man, Responsibility

Add this to your list.

When he campaigned, one of his major points was Hillary Clinton and John Edwards' health plan required mandatory participation. He said some Americans can't afford it, so under his plan it would be optional.

Now his plan is to make it mandatory.

@ Sqrl - I didn't expect a miracle in 6 months. I think he's doing a very, very good job. Most folks didn't think he'd walk on water or heal the sick. However, he is making an effort to correct a lot of the mess we were in become Election Day. That's all I'm saying.

And just like the games we discuss here, and proclaim our love for consoles and the like, in the end, he could care less. He's still president, whether folks like it or not.

You're correct, Madskillz. He's doing a very, very good job....at destroying our monetary system.
