I remember how badly people wahhhhed at the game. Yes, people did say they hated it, and though I'm not certain its because of it not being on the PS3, I'm sure some previous haters will become miraculously change their mind soon. Unless this is fake, in which case...

But let's be honest here people, that's not what's going on here.

There were genuine complaints about the game here and then it just turned into a not-being-on-your-platform thing.

I'm not sure why I'm bothering anymore... (not directed at you).

Oh yes I can understand that. However while I heard legitimate complaints from people, I've heard quite a bit of BS complaints as well. The voice acting was horrific, the gameplay was awesome, and Edge acted like a BITCH half the game.

But the game itself was in no way as horribly, terrible and worst-JRPG-ever as I've heard some say.

I could certainly agree with that. I was just amazed how the thread turned out the way it did when the majority of the complaints were quite reasonable.

I don't think there was any hyperbole in the criticisms here in this thread, which is why I'm lost as to why this thread in particualr went down that road.

I can understand how the gameplay alone could make this game a noteworthy RPG to some, I really do. But I do stand by my opinion that some of the dialogue and characters are among the worst in a major release JRPG in quite some time.

As soon as this releases, haters and or Sony Fanboys will say omg rpg of the year.

Yep :) you know it will happen.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

It is a really good underrated JRPG. Would be nice for the game to go to the PS3. I bought the 360 version. I enjoyed it very much.

Holy crap batman!

Just read abit mor eon the thread itself...

Yes Star Ocean: The Last Hope was Great, the Battle system and characters (except one...little kid loli thing...) were awesome! but the voice acting was the most crap i heard this gen in english lol.

As great as SO4 is, VC surpasses it in all Levels except extra missions AFTER the game is done, SO4 continues the hardcore extra dungeon thing with 2 insanely hard (yes easy compared to the last one till the end of time) extra side missions and THATS what truly gives it its epic value, like ALL Tri-Ace games!

But WTF@ Music.... i thought you didn't like Tri-Ace games... >_>

If this was the "360 favourite", I am disappointed

Oh wow, people have gone from trashing Star Ocean 4 (they're wrong), to trashing Golden Sun. I don't see why people whine about the lack of RPGs this gen when they can't appreciate any of them unless they're on their preferred platform.

Yeah, if it isn't on PS3, it's pretty much "garbage."

Where are the people hating on ToV and LO then?  Just look around and see that there are people that legitimately didn't like the game as much as you without any ulterior movite.  Deal with that and move on.

Are you kidding? Lost Odyssey got bashed to high hell (along with Blue Dragon) when it came out. People still bash it but it has calmed down since theg ame is old news now.

And Vesperia gets trashed too, just not here. It would be silly to use this place as a example when it's probably the only forum on the internet with its own Yuri Defense Force.

And there are people who bash Valkyria, I mean hell, Nightwish did it just now.  But these games are mostly held in high regard, which goes against his idea that people dislike SO4 solely because it isn't on PS3, otherwise why don't these same people dislike ToV and LO as well?

No they aren't, at least Lost Odyssey isn't. It got bashed then tossed to the side when it didn'tmatter anymore. Vesperia (and DotNW) on the other hand pretty much sparked outrage at the entire franchise, people kept saying it didn't matter because Tales was mediocre, there were too many games, Xbox 360 lol, etc. When they caught wind that it might come to PS3, the trash talk took a nosedive and suddenly people were begging for it like starving dogs.

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

LOL alrdy fanboys doing some damage control....too early for that seriously it hasn't even been confirmed yet.

OT: I will w8 for an official word reguarding this but then again Im not dieing for this game at all so what ever happens wont really bother to me that much.

the multiplat was pretty much assured from the lack of "only on 360".... still MS had the better end of the stick, they got their machine to be accepted in JP and they got RPG enthusiast to consider the XBOX as a worthy RPG console. (personally, I saved 400$ by MS getting these RPGs).

Or it could be a mistake.

Gamefly has been the srouce of a number of leaks over the past few years, such as Guilty Gear and Lost Blue for Wii.  They have yet to (as far as I know) list anything that doesn't actually exist.  Gamefly has been as accurate as the ESRB when it comes to leaks, as far as I've seen.

Gamefly's system is about as reliable as Gamstop's honestly. Release date's will magically appear whenever it seems they are needed, and often times without any official word. Games also have a surprising tendency to appear and disappear fairly randomly. Rock Revolution for the Wii is the only example off the top of my head, but you can probably find a few more if you look. They do get early info, and that can lead to some leaks but they are not close to reliable. I also can't imagine why an American company would have info this early on a game that will take forever to leave Japan.
