People love grinding, really? o_O

I know, it's nonsense on the face of it, but I really do. It's how we did it back in the day. Play the original Dragon Quest (NES), you kill a slime (+1 xp), then red slimes (+1 xp) , OOOOOOHHHH a scorpion (Whew! Almost killed me, +5 xp) 2 hours later. . . LEVEL 3! And we friggin' loved it! It's an incredible sense of accomplishment for something so mind numbing, but there it is.

Hahahaha . That's exactly what I think!

Now, the more I think about it, why did I even bother asking the question? I mean, I'm on a video game site for heaven's sake! xD

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

QFT!

Those were the days. That's why I love the DQ franchise so much.

And then after killing a bunch of them and leveling up you realize you can kill twice as many before going back to town to heal.  Then you check the Priest and he's like "Only 47 experience points to go before WoW can level up."  Which then psyched you to go kill even more...

I can't figure out why it was so addictive back then... but it was.

Hell, even the Metal Slime wasnt so lucrative in term of xp in the original Dragon Quest.

and cursing the tv because you passed the wrong bridge and got killed by a dark night, and your money got halfed and theres no magic armar for you, well back to killing goldman(6EXP and 100gold.)

I think you are right, grinding can be addictive in some games but in other games it can be a real crap.

Hell YES the more the better.

Not like games these days... way to easy... hell they even put in lowlevel achievements in games today.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I hate FFIV, I've grinded for hours and managed to get to the moon then I discovered that wonderful bug (which probably makes atleast 1000 people commit suicide every year) that makes your ship disappear or pop up on different locations but not being "physically" there...so beware of that bug I say!

Ok, seriously, I actually love FFIV even though it's now my third attempt on finishing it, and they did a good job with the DS remake so I say get that one. Unless you want the real retro experience but then you should get it on Snes...

Grinding in this game is actually easier than in the other games... i mean i usually grinded by selecting auto attack and spamming the a button

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

I prefer the DS version because of the revamped and improved presentation.
