Forums - Gaming - How Microsoft Ruined fun for everybody

I'm not going to pay for my internet twice, so MS can go fuck themselves.

Let me show you why they call me the velour fog. Hit it.

I met her in a club down in old Soho,

Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like coca cola,

C-o-l-a, cola.

She, walked up to me and she asked me to dance,

I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said;

Leela, L-e-e-l-a, Leela, Lee, Lee, Lee, Leela

Leeeeeeeelaaaaaaaa

Dont bash something until you have experienced it..

There is a huge difference between the wii and a 360, and you have no idea what you are missing out on.. same with a load of wii only gamers.

Trust me what you are paying for on XBL is really worth paying for..

To me it also is. But it doesn't change the fact that it would be nice if it were free, like on ps3. I don't even know what the wii has... I haven't turned mine on since december. And I don't own any online games fer et. :-/

Although me complaining is really hypocritical, since I would just buy gold anyway again because I love playing online every once and again.

see that's exactly my point these companies know the gamer's pretty well...the gamer's have been enticed by the game's and it show's what are the gamer's willing to shell out...their market reasearch show's gamer's are very willing to shell out $60.00+per game not just for the game's only, add in movies, other content its a very large market for a reason..that is one of the Problem's its getting to the point that $60.00+ point has become the standard..and its prob. not going away anytime soon because GAMER's seem to be happy with the price point.

when i was growing up..70's if my dad heard i would wanted a game that was even $20.00 he said it was too much, yea even if i worked for the money myself he still would complain about the price. Today it seem's that parent's reluctant also to say "NO"/just my Opinion and i fully support gameing but it's just my OPINION of the game industry as a whole, i cannot blame the companies though , hell i would do that also from personal experience with some development myself, the Industry is following pretty much how any company would go,,,"give them an inch they would take a mile ..if you let them"

$20.00 was worth so much more in the 70's. I mean the average movie ticket in 1978 was $2.34.

you betcha bottom $ it was ..remember penny candy?

or for instance:

i live in Ohio white castle which is one of the oldest fast food chain's in the US had their white castles back in the 70's for .30 each

a white castle with cheese is now .75 that's an extra 14 cents per white castle an the problem is that's only 25% of a single slice of cheese that's like an extra

56 cents for four white castles that White Castle is rakeing in just with the cheese by itself 14 cents for a .24 slice of cheese...D@mn

If XBL was free I would consider getting a 360. That's simple as that.

What, pay to play multiplayer online? Why should people have to pay to play multiplayer online on xbox live while they can play the same games on the psn for free?

And yo_john, I don't think he was talking about the console ruining everybody's fun. I think he was talking about how microsoft's business practices is messing up the gaming community.

News flash for everyone...a lot of N64 games cost $70 to $80, and even more sometimes. Killer Instinct Gold cost $85 when it was released. Also, original, I repeat, original NES games over 20 years ago cost $50. I paid $50 for MLB baseball on the NES in 1987...

An that is Exactly Why we are where we are in game prices right now

Gamer's have a Hard time saying

"no"

look at it this way when a sports event like pretty much every football game's sale's tick's upwards of over $100's of $

something is wrong with that.

but yet people are willing to pay for it. like $30.00+ for a single movie on Optical Disc..an yet people are willing to pay for it.

people have only themselves to blame...

just sayin..

I paid $50 for World Games.

They never ruined anything for me. If anything, they brought great games and ideas to the market. Why wouldn't you want diversity to the gaming market?

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"
