I'd get rid of the waggle gimmick.

Cos it's so much worse than button mashing...

Yes it is. Thats like saying whenever you want to change the channel on your tv you have to wave the remote in the air like instead on simply hitting a button.

Regenerating health for sure. QTE too. Auto-aim too. And while we're at that, buttons under analog sticks.

I would get rid of whiny main characters in JRPGs.

Absolutely... *looks at your avatar* more Ryudos! :)

I would get rid of all the sandbox games, that try to bring us more "freedom" on the cost of variety, good story lines and interesting characters. Yes, Assassin's Creed, I'm looking at you.

Traitor! Sandbox/open world is the best invention in modern gaming. Words aren't enough to praise this natural wonder of a game mechanic.

This would be a good metaphor if you had to hit that button 20 times per second to switch channels.

People who die just go through other ones. Where's the stacking of bodies, man?

Adding collision to dead bodies can open up a myriad of other way more annoying problems.

Maybe it's hard on the technical level right now, but I don't think it'll have a "myriad" of more annoying problems.

Not true.  Technically we're more than capable, but say you have a a stack of bodies lined up in front of a door you're supposed to go through in order to progress.  Then what do you do?  It's just much easier to make bodies you can walk through.

Overdone Quick Time Events

See: Resident Evil 5, Prince of Persia (2008)

God of War 1/2 did them reasonably. Games like those listed above overused them or built an entire game out of them.

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

random encounters in favor of the chrono trigger battle system

Shoot them?
