Forums - General - Why do people like Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, and High School Musical?

Because most people on this planet are idiots.

Let me show you why they call me the velour fog. Hit it.

I met her in a club down in old Soho,

Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like coca cola,

C-o-l-a, cola.

She, walked up to me and she asked me to dance,

I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said;

Leela, L-e-e-l-a, Leela, Lee, Lee, Lee, Leela

Leeeeeeeelaaaaaaaa

It has been explained by others, also, last time I said what I though about these fans I was banned, so Im not going to say much just that I hate them.

Gotta love the answers here. So informed.

Basically, these acts are cross-marketed towards children and teenagers, and the music is made to appeal to their age groups. Believe it or not, whether these acts exist or not, children are not going to listen to the same indy rock scene the majority of you listen to. That doesn't make them stupid either. They're just young. My three year old listens to "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round". She doesn't care for Arctic Monkeys. Go figure. It doesn't make her stupid, it doesn't mean she has no taste, she's not an idiot, she just happens to listen to music created to appeal to her age group. Now she's getting into Miranda Cosgrove a bit through iCarly. This is the way you get children interested. Maybe Radiohead should put a sticom out on Nickelodeon.

Damn, Onyxmeth stole my answer.

I'll reiterate that. Just because people have different tastes from you, that doesn't mean they're idiots. I'm sure I could easily dig through any of your profiles and find something to criticize.

Who doesn't like the Jonas Brother's hot steamy foam on their faces? Remember the South Park episode?.. Little did we know that they actually do that at their concerts!

Some messed up shit.
