Forums - Nintendo - No Hype for Cop: The Recruit?!!?!

This game actually looks pretty interesting, and I'm surprised no one talked about it much after E3.

An open world DS game besides Chinatown Wars sounds awesome!

Looks great, but its a new, rather ambitious IP, and i still need to see more to be sold. Im not a big fan of GTA games anyway...

Wow, I'm seriously impressed at what they have managed to do. It feels it needs more polish and I get a feeling that is what's going to hold it back. I'm actually not surpised the DS can do this. I am also pretty sure that a tech orientated developer could to do better or at least if not better hide the transition and make it feel fluid.

On a parallel topic of capability of this game. I would LOVE to see Mass Effect use this engine for a DS version.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I'm ignoring it because it defies my irrational preconceptions about there being no good core games on a Nintendo platform.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Even if this game falls flat on its  face, I cannot fault Ubisoft for trying.

The details I have seen already from this game are surprisingly good, and I hope it gets better as it nears a release (9/30/09)

I got these from Wikipedia: The game will be a third person shooter and a driving game, in an open-world city with around 6 square miles. The game will have about 60 missions with over 20 hours of gameplay. It will be also possible, using the DS system's microphone (and the in-game PDA), call the S.W.A.T. team, create barricades, road blocks, call an ambulance and access the city's camera system.

I saw it. It looks pretty good. Exactly what I thought Chinatown Wars was going to look like. I'm looking at but I want to see more before I think about buying it.

It looks amazing graphically. Much better than China town wars. The gameplay looks better too.

I dont mind the horrendous popin much if it can produce graphics like that.

I just wish they'd get rid of COP from the name, and just call it 'The Recruit" or something like that.

This looks awesome, if they keep it clean unlike GTA I will buy this. The driving brings up memories of Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast. Really looks interesting.
