I was playing Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 recently, and I was fighting a match as Mid Goku, Super Saiyan.
There was one point where I was charging up, which elicits an aura around him and he lights up.
Along with this charge, the sun's reflection from the level hit Goku as well, and his alternate costume makes him look shiny. Miraculously, these combining factors all came together and Goku looked AMAZING. That brief moment really made his character model rival that of a 360 game, no joke.
Yes, I have an Xbox360, so I know what it's graphics look like, but still, Goku looked REALLY good. Even though the game is cel-shaded/3D, he looked like Burst Limit!
Things like this happening won't ever occur too many times, but I am currently playing this game to recreate the moment. I have never noticed lighting too much in games before, so Wii games really need to capitalize on this feature.
Just like in Mario Galaxy, it brings presentation to a whole other level.
