So after an entire year of delays, I finally got a PSP.  Just wondering what kinds of games and features people recommend I get to make the most out of it.

I'll be going on a 10 hour road trip in a few weeks, so something that will take up lots of time that I can play with family members.

I just got a job that's an hour plus bus ride.  So something I can play on the go, getting off and on buses and waiting at bus stops etc.

Also any core blockbuster type games with controls that are easy to pick up and get used to.

On my PS3 I like Uncharted, MGS4, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, Dead Space, BioShock.  Hated Tomb Raider Underworld.

On my DS I enjoyed New Super Mario Bros but hated games with gimmicky touch controls like StarFox.

Suggestions.

I haven't gotten a PSP yet =( The one game I really wanted to play was GoW: Chains of Olympus.

Supposedly really shows how Kratos feels used by the Gods and sick of having his fate controlled by them.

Congratz. I JUST got a PSP last week too.
Only have God of War 3: Chains of Olympus, Metal Gear Portable Ops and Resistance Retribution so far and all 3 are pretty damned cool.

get an external battery pack. the psp won't last 10 hours on a single charge alone sadly :( i got an external pack for like 5 dollars though so that's another 2-3 hours of gameplay

i get 6 hours+ with everything on low. psp have cpu and gpu known to kil batteries.

and also a 4.3' screen to power.

Besides what people recommended already I'll say:

HSG2P
Syphon Filter DM and LS
SOCOM FTB 1 and 2 (though you're better off waiting for 3 IMO)
Jeanne D'arc
Patapon 1 and 2
Locorocco 1 and 2

And I don't know, many others man and make sure to get GT when it comes out.

God of War. Best psp game ever... unless, a superior god of war game is launched

You should sell your PSP, quit your job, forget the family road trip and then you wont have to deal wit recommendations for ur PSP =P
