A profit drop is expected by the end of a product cycle. If they post the same drop next year with Windows 7 out then the giant is trully done. Otherwise it's just a down side of the software cycle.

$4 Billion is lot of profit, which Sony can only dream of right now.. Sony wont be making $4Billion profit anytime soon.. so i dont think MS will be much worried... making $4billion in terrrible economic times is not bad at all, rather its very good.
