A 30 % decline is terrible, whichever way you spin it.

Of course it won't make zero. It's still heading south.


A profit drop is expected by the end of a product cycle. If they post the same drop next year with Windows 7 out then the giant is trully done. Otherwise it's just a down side of the software cycle.
