Forums - Nintendo - I'm pretty sure the Wii could do demos now right?

Club Nintendo (currently) has prizes available for its premium members in the form of several items. One is a Mario hat or something, and the other is Doc Louis Punchout. If I heard correctly during IGN's Nintendo Voice podcast, DL Punchout is attained from a download off the Wii Shop Channel, and is just one fight against...Doc Louis in the normal Wii Punchout!! format. I think it takes up a Wii Menu Channel.

Now if this is true, along with the Wii's recently implemented SD Card usage, game demos could be feasible. It may only be one two on the console at once with a lot of space available, but it is............plausible, for lack of a better word.

So, the idea isn't too far-fetched right?

ya, and the fact that they offer DS demoes and not Wii demoes is just plain weird,

Yes, it's definitely plausible. Maybe they will introduce Wii demos. Someday.

Nintendo will wait until the next generation before we see content similar to xbox live and PSN (demos and other things).

In the past they have been reluctant to incorporate online, but with the success of the other platforms they are changing their mind. Just look at DSi.

yes, they can technically do it, but they can't take up much room at all (currently the max is 40mb, but nintendo could raise that some).

i'm pretty much sure the punch-out prize thing is about 200-300 blocks big (so, it probably couldn't be much bigger), and it only lets you fight against ONE charecter.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1
