I think I know where your coming from.

It seems to me that a lot of games this generation are different from last. It's almost like it's harder to get excited about a release.

Im waiting for 2010, Mario, Zelda and Metroid

Yeah I feel that way atm... I dunno if it's the games or if it's me. I feel like there isn't much games interesting atm.

Maybe the next Zelda will get me excited again.

This is what I'm talking about.

little big planet was supposed to be the cats meow of platform gaming.

It didn't even compare to mario galaxy.

yah it's fun. but it was not really worth waiting for or getting excited about.

What I hate is this BS episodic content, but what I hate the most is the BS of games designed from the beginning to be Trilogies and resulting in games which don't have a satisfying ending....and things are made worse when the 1st game in the trilogy fails after the devs PR ranting on and on about the game being designed to span 3 games...

What ever happen to games simply being announced, released, and having a satisfying ending with very very slight possibility of a sequel but never announced or even advertised by PR, that way if the games bombed that was that and the few that got were satisfied, but if it did good, then there was enough stings to create a proper sequel that followed off the 1st one.

The same goes for episodic games, fuck this real time development of a games and then released every 4th month... this isn't TV shows....and it clearly doesn't work. How about instead you create the whole game and then give options for the user to either buy the whole season if you will, or just buy each episode individually...I'm looking at you Penny arcade, you promised an episodic game, and now the 3rd title is in question.

this is one or two of the thing that's up with gaming today.

October! A lot to buy that month...

I was like you at first, it was fun for a while, and then I got very bored very fast. That changed recently..
