July 22, 2009 - Atlus and developer Sting are teaming up for a new fantasy RPG. Titled Hexyz Force, the upcoming PSP title was unveiled in this week's Famitsu.

Hexyz Force is set in a world split between light and dark and follows the exploits of Hexyz, heroes who have inherited the power of the gods. You take control of one of two characters: Elena or Revant. Depending on your selection, the game's world, story, and characters change, although it appears that the two will meet up at some point towards the latter part of the story.

The game's battle system is command and turn based. You send out three characters from your party, positioned in front, middle, and back lines on the field. As you fight, you build up a Force Burst Gauge, which can be used to unleash powerful special attacks.

There's more to the game than just combat, though. Your actions affect the balance of the game's world, and depending on this balance, the game's ending will change.

Japan can look forward to Hexyz Force on November 12. A release outside of Japan has yet to be announced.
