Forums - Sony - So...i helped this Random guy at Walmart...

Walmart would make less money hiring you since they won't be able to sell crappy games which makes the most money.

There's few reason for people to shop for new games when the one they chose kept them busy.

I like the "it takes strategy to master" for Killzone 2.... hum...

Took the words right out of my mouth.  But to a certain extent it does take some strategy to be the winning team.

It takes a LOT of strategy dude. If you doubt then just play against a clan. Heck just play aginst the VGC clan boys.

You can pretty much use this for any FPS. Clan wars always take strategy. Killzone 2, the game itself, doesn't really need strategy. Especially for body count.

Even body count takes strategy. It's just that teams usually aren't cohesive online like clans are but good tacticians still make or break both clan games and regular MP games. Also, in regular MP warzone, body count tends to catch the team "off-guard" like maybe just after s & d which ends up creating a situation where only individual skills count and not strategy. In smaller games such as clan games, strategy is still possible because, you don't keep running into enemies like in the large games. Hell, some clans even "cheat" by picking up an early lead in body count then proceeding to hide in their base so they don't get killed till the time runs out.

When a team is pressing another to the point of leaving them stuck in their base, that usually means the "pressing" team is better, yet they sometimes lose body counts because dumb tacs throw Spawn grenades into the enemy base and fools keep spawning there while I endure countless insults on the mic for standing behind the spawn grenade blasting the STA-3. So even the large BC games have fragments of strategy involved.

Choose a new PS3 "Game/games" for him AND his son who is 21.

Basiclly the dad is an HUGE RPG fan but isn't up-to-date with these "new" games and needed some advice, the people working that area at the time were stupid... and his son was a Sports and FPS nut-case... (huh? isn't that odd? oh well...)

Anyways he tells me a list of games hes interested in here was the list...

  1. inFamous - He thought this was a made by Sony WRPG...
  2. Fable 2 - I thought he was joking and from the look he gave me i said "dood...its 360 exclusive" he then giggles in despair.
  3. LBP - I just laugh.
  4. Folklore - i was abit dumbfounded, that he KNEW about this game, i said it was PS3's first legit JRPG game but also noted its hard to find in Wal-Marts casual game section, but loath and behold the guy found a copy.which was even more freaky.
  5. Fight Night Round 4 - I had no opinion...
  6. Blazblue - I said go for it.
  7. NCA 08-09 and 10...(His son?) - I said gtfo nao!11 "He then laughed and got the joke and i really did say "GTFO" ....
  8. Killzone 2 (For his son) - I said its great but it takes strategy to master, its not run and gun like Unreal.
  9. Tales of Vesperia - I said its not out yet, and may not come to USA and exclusive to japan, he then becomes even futher depressed...
  10. Disgaie 3 (sp?) - I said i wouldn't know i dont play 2nd games on mah PS3...

So he then asks if there were any SRPG's for the PS3... since he loved Final Fantasy Tactics back on the PSOne...

And then i go into Valkyria Fanboy mode and got up in his face and softly whispered in a non-gay way... "Viva La...Valkyria" He goes.. "Huh, wut waz dat brada?" then i shout Valkyria Chronicles like a nutcase!

..."The Workers they stare with all there noobishness..."

So i went on to explain'n in detail and he seemed interested, but i was GOING to get him to buy it... so i ask this lady if she could switch the PS3 game "the one on the stande" for a game called Valkyria chronicles she then says "We cant just switch games that arn't..." then this Pro-Gaming worker pops outta know-where (yay! took long enough) and says he'll handle it, and does his magic and voula Viva La Valkyria...

Then i tell the guy and he then begins to play it for 5 mins...

He comes back and says "Whats your PSN?" i then tell him, he then says "Your my best friend on PSN now! *Smiley face*"

So all in all my fission DID NOT get mailed, ironiclly 11 to 14 maybe other people there also picked up this game, we were talking quite loudly so lol.... if that did influence there purchase in anyway then wow... holy shyte im a freaking VC Zealot!

Note: He also bought Fable II, KZ2, Folklore and inFamous, i didn't really talk about those games much but he seemed happy with his purchases.

Double Note: Wal-Mart should hire me, they'd make t3h doh in the video games area!

I really don't get people's desire with pushing their own tastes down someone's throat. Also, you'd make a terrible employee of any store if you legitimately act that way.

This is a joke though right? You didn't really have that conversation. You couldn't have.

It can play a part for sure, but you can still easily do great without using any strategy whatsoever. Especially with those damn Assault guys in play...

I have to agree that having Assault w/RPGs on tends to make all objectives more difficult. In S&R, they can just boost to the end, s&d is practically impossible not just because of the rpg spamming,  the smoke and screen trembling make it impossible to shoot lol.

However, from my vast experience, I can say that 9 out of 10 people who use assault all game long usually just suck period so they're pretty easy to handle especially with the reduced health (remember that their HP never fills over 100% when the armor is gone anymore). Just move around till they've fired their rocket, then take them down very quickly. Shotguns are best but the STA-3 LMG and even the ISA rifle can easily do this.

@Onyxmeth- I did, lulz but HE was interested in SRPGS so...
