CNET: Little King's Story: The best Wii game you've never played

Reviews of the game have been good since its release, which isn't surprising. It's everything that Nintendo games are supposed to be about. If we had a few more of these, and a few less of the licensed one-offs, maybe the Wii wouldn't seem like so hollow a success story to serious gamers. While this game is available on disc in stores like GameStop, hopefully WiiWare will allow riskier indie projects and smaller-market games in the future to thrive more easily, and insure a future where gamers will always have original, creative content as an option

You can forgive its faults, like your party, once over a certain size sometimes refuse to follow you or go where you want them to! The reason you can forgive its faults is because it is so damn addictive! Can't really put my finger on why though.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

Well I got it and love it so far. It is what I wanted out of it (minus pointer control, a bizarre and glaring oversight). It is pikmin on steroids, with RPG elements and town management, with an insanely awesome artistic sensibility. I played it for a few hours last night, and loved every minute of it. I highly recomend it.

The main thing I want you to know about Little King's Story is how incredibly charming it is. It's hard to imagine that anyone willing to put an hour or so into the game won't come away smiling. Beyond its quirky, likable surface, Little King's Story offers the opportunity for the genuine joy, fear, pride, shame, curiosity and wonder that a real child might feel when given the task of ruling a kingdom of adults. Clever design choices and bravely placed satire round out what will likely become yet another under-appreciated Wii-exclusive cult classic.

Man, I really wish the game could have been called Gears of Warcraft: Wii Edition. I'd bet dollars to donuts that with that name, it could have sold a trillion copies.

Metroid's a fantastic series, no doubt about it, but you've for sure beaten Corruption already, and have likely beaten the first two as well. If you haven't, you can get the damned fine Gamecube versions for pennies, and thus have the other $40 to spend on something else. Liiiiiiiiiiiike maybe an epic, colorful, and fun adventure that's gotten nothing but rave reviews across all of Europe, and is repeating that performance on this side of the Atlantic? Filled with fantastic characters, a great sense of humor, tons of gameplay, and boatloads of creativity? Personally, I think you should go with that option.

I agree and metroid is my favorite series. It is just much better to buy a new game and experience that than replay old ones imo. This is unless you haven't played the games in a VERY VERY long time and barely remember anything about them.

I heard this plays like pikmin. Hm rip off? What ever I saw some reviews and I'll just say its only compersion is that you have little guys to fight with you and is more complicated than pikmin. Anyways my wishlist is too full. I'll buy if I ever rent it and like it so much that I want to keep it
