This sounds laughable but it is actually a smart move. There have been more ridiculous lawsuits in the past that have ended in huge payouts. In my opinion Sony is lucky those people are just asking for $55K.

The funny thing is if Sony felt like being complete dicks (and I would even support them on this move) they should try to make him pay court and legal costs Sony has to pay.
