Forums - Nintendo - Is anybody else experiencing bad lag problems in The Conduit?

Just as the title suggests, I've been receiving bad lag problems in online sessions. These supposed "ideal" connections end up having people skipping around the map abnormally fast while occasionally being frozen in place. Again, the connection screen labelled the past five games as "ideal". Couldn't be my connection, as COD:WaW seems to do just fine.

I'm not even going to talk about the slide-show framerate, either! Thoughts?

I have had mixed results, but mostly good in terms of lag and framerate.

I have been in a match recently that involved just two of us and one other that magically teleported all over the map. His red dot on the radar would warp from place to place so fast you could never get to him. He could not get to us either it would seem, as he would fire off a single shot or two and then be gone again. I do not know if this was a hack or a bug, but he did not appear to be in control of what was happening.

In the absence of evidence to the contrary, always assume you have the upper hand.

Wow, that is interesting. Not what I encountered but it sounds like another rare glitch they would have to work out.

Oh, one other point worth noting is that in the few friends matches I have been in there has been no lag. They have been the smoothest games with (of course) no hackers of cheaters of any kind. Very refreshing.

I don't know whether to buy this game or not =_=. I hear good and bad things about this game every time...

My favourite glitch so far has been the one where you start outside of the map :( and cant do anything and I've also had problems with people continuously falling through the roof.

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

I haven't been online much yet (12 matches in total, about 3 hours worth) I have been enjoying the singleplayer (which I think is very good despite what reviewrs have said)

I haven't experienced any lag in terms of jumping around, I did notice a couple of times when a lot was going on that my own character seemed to move a little slower than usual.

My last match however didn't connect properly, it took much much longer than usual doing the synchronising of the other players (usually it is about 2 second between each player, so 20-30 in total... this time it took almost the full 5 minutes the timer allows) Once it completed that and put me on the map I couldn't do anything at all, and the only output was the information screen showing who killed who seemed active.

I will be going on again today though so I will come back here and say if it happened again.

My lag problems have recently been fixed. I simply moved my Nintendo Wii from a laying position to a standing position with more open space. It has made an amazing difference and I believe it to not be coincidence. At first, I was frustrated like a lot of people, but since doing this, Brawl and The Conduit seemed to have vastly improved lag.

Maybe this will help for you.

Hmm, well I have often wondered why my connection always seems better than everyone elses when I have the cheapest wireless router I could find, and standard broadband.... I too have my Wii stood up in relatively open space (I could probably just about fit 2 PS3 sized consoles stood up in the space)

Although I also hear that a low ping-rate is also needed for good online gaming, and apparently mine is only 17, which is very low.... I have no idea what affects ping rate though.

It lags sometimes, but no more than any other online game. For me that is.
