Forums - Sony - MGS: Essential Collection question.

It's actually just about MGS 1, I put it in, but I can't get past the freaking title screen! What's wrong?  I don't have any other ps1 games, so I don't know if it's a problem with my ps2 and ps1 games.

And It's not like the game freezes or anything, exept when it's telling me to "press start" it doesn't respond!  

 

Any solutions?

Do PS1 games support Dualshock 2 controllers? I don't remember if they do

Well, my friend plays FFVII perfectly on his ps2...

 

It's also a slim btw

Yeah, but MGS can be tricky...Kojima did a lot of things with the controllers. I wouldn't be surprised if it were only playable with a Dualshock 1. Maybe you could try to borrow a friend's just to try

 

EDIT: Wait, I have a PS2, a DS2, a DS1 and MGS1 somewhere. I'll give it a try myself...if I can find the game

I'll try to help ya, but I really don't know where my MGS1 is...gotta find it, must be somewhere
