Forums - Sony - Get a PsP 3000 or wait for PsP GO!?

if you can find one then get a psp2000 - have much better screen and you can clearly see it if you play some more greyish games like Killzone Liberation or Syphon Filter games.

if you can't, get psp3000+8gb card. if you won't be modding your you don't need more and you can get both psp3000 and 8gb memory stick for 50+$ less than PSP GO retail price.
if you will be modding it, get 16gb one - with my 4gb memory stick i have problems storing all data i want at the time comics, psx, snes and arcade games are taking most of my storage space and i can have only few of those.

also all peripherials released so far for psp won't work with psp go since it doesn't have the same usb output etc. as earlier models(not to mention smaller screen and built-in battery so you will have less than 2.5-3 years of fun before it will run down).

I've been looking into buying a PSP aswel because it seem's a lot of good games are coming out for it now and a lot of developer's seem to be supporting it now. I think you should go for the PSP 3000. The PSP Go seem's to awkward to hold and it doesn't have the anolog stick. Plus the screen looks a lot smaller and as someone else stated it has an internal battery.

Get a Go. And when the Go releases thats when alot of the PSP games will start coming out.

Wait for holidays to see any potential changes in Sony's pricing for these models and how Sony is going to handle the backlog of PSP games for digital download.

Then decide if the pricing for Go+its features. Personally, if Sony still appears to keep supporting both models by year's end, I would just get 3000 as I don't see justification for price difference.

Not to mention if you pick up a Go you won't have the vast library already on UMD. I suggest waiting because the 3000 will likely get a price cut this fall when the Go debuts. But as SuperChunk said the PSP 3000 is supposedly going to recieve all of the same software so why bother loosing your thumb pad and UMD support?

I bought a PsP 3000 today along with MH freedom unite and remake of FFI. I'm pretty sure the PsP go has a analog stick, same as the 3000 but I couldn't justify waiting a few months just for something I can put in my pocket. Thanks for everyones opinions.

Now reccomend me some games. ^_^ I like dungeon crawlers, beat em up/hack n slashes/ action rpg/ turn based rpg

i wanted a psp go but... joystick still in bad spot, smaller screen, costs more... doesnt seem to cool.

The Go, its much more portable and that 16gb is really good

Disgaea, Jeanne D'arc, Final Fantasy: Crisis Core, Tales of the World: Radiant Dawn, Phantasy Star Portable, Hammerin Hero, Star Ocean remakes, God of War Chains of Olympus, Class of Heroes, Brave Story, Wild Arms XF and you good to go.

PSP 3000 with most of the features of the PSP Go, you can have more space then the PSP go with a memory stick, larger screen, you can buy physical discs, and at nearly 100 dollars less... the choice is easy if you ask me.
