not really, 32x sold like, 200k or something, that's a very 'small' portion of a userbase to get too enraged. What killed sega was releasing the sega cd during the prime of genesis life, then the 32x a few months before the saturn, in which case the saturn costed a fortune and had ass for power in terms of 3d games, leaving it under the dust. Dreamcast is one of the best consoles ever, but sega flopped every other console in the US aside the genesis, and dreamcast released when they knew bankruptcy was possible.

Id say piracy and ps2 were more at fault.
