That's bloody typical of Apple...

Even if I don't mind using OSx, their asking price is too much. It's a shame that software like Final Cut isn't available outside of OSx.

I spec'ed myself a Core i7 build (the 920) that I'd like to save up for that's a whole new tower where the only things I'd carry over from the old tower are the DVD and hard drives and it would currently cost me a little over $1500. Heck, that price even includes a 23" LG LCD monitor.

I can get a pc twice as good for a less price than these overpriced dull colored macs.

This is why I built an osx86 pc. It's either an unupgradable Imac or a capable but omgwtf expensive Mac Pro. There's no middle ground.

It's actually kind of sad that I was able to build a quad core hackintosh with 4gb of ram and a decent video card for the price of the cheapest Mac Mini.

I don't see how they can justify those prices since they don't include teh cell.
