Forums - Gaming - Canadian Wii Deal! And Wii Games Advice...

At EBgames in Canada tomorrow (One Day Only) you can trade in 5 select games ( usually means they're worth at least $8 trade in value) and get a Wii for $49.99. They also have a similar deal for the Xbox Elite, trade in 6 games and get it for $149.99.

The regular deal is to trade in 10 games to buy a Wii for $49.99

I have 5 games I can trade in, but I need some advice... what are some good games to get for the Wii?

The game I'm most interested in is Dead Space Extraction...also Mad World looked good too.

Also looking at reviews on IGN, the only games that got good reviews were Mario or Zelda games... what are must have fun adventure/ action games on the Wii that I should check out?

Well, I know you like SRPGs, so I recommend you get Fire Emblem for Gamecube and/or Wii. An absolutely outstanding pair of SRPGs. The two games are directly linked, so you should play the Gamecube one first if you're interested.

In the action/adventure category, I'd recommend that you get the Metroid Prime Trilogy which is coming out in August, I believe. It's a spectacular value. Also try Okami and Resident Evil 4.

Looking at your profile, I see you have Professor Layton. If you're a fan of puzzle solving, I would recommend Zack & Wiki, along with about a million great puzzle games on WiiWare. And if you enjoyed Street Fighter 4, you might want to try a Nintendo-style fighter in Super Smash Bros Brawl, or pick up Tatsunoko vs. Capcom which should be out in the next six months or so.

Personally, I don't think any Wii collection is complete without Mario Kart, but of course some people won't agree.

Definiely get Zelda, and Mario, those games are awesome.

And I agree with Mario Kart. ^_^

silicon do you have a link for this? I'm searching on redflagdeals and finding nothing. If it's really 5 games with $8+ TIV and $50 that's a super hot deal.

thanks

I'll also second that the eb gamedays flyer says tradein 10 for 49.99 wii and there are no listings on redflag

Yup, just checked out the flyer, and it's trade in 10 games which is a cold deal, considering how many games don't quality.
