What I want:

GT5 releasing no later than November
PSN Cards released in Eu the day of the conference.
MAG release date for 09 in NA ATLEAST
1 New game, RPG preferably [they claim to have 5 being developed in-house]
Legend of Dragon brought to PSN [hopefully a few other PS1 titles]
Video Store to hit PAL
Some cool PSPGo Features
Eight Days development back on track.
Eyepet Releasing no later than December
Modnation Racers Gameplay footage and info

What I think we'll get:

Hardware shipment figures.
A PSN game or two
Gameplay video we've already seen.
More Singstar
Some new bluray deals and bundles.

Why? For what reason would they specifically favor E3 over GamesCon? Considering the length of time with which the conferences are, Sony clearly considers GamesCon to be the bigger event.

Considering EU is their best market, with NA being their worst market, I'd tend to agree.

I'm saying, in general, the state of Sony gaming is sad to see. They've gone from being the king of the gaming industry to being the court jester. I wish they'd just spare themselves and their admirers the pain and quit.

And quit what, putting out quality games that satisfy their fanbase. I'm sorry, I don't follow your sense of thinking. Sony, as many game companies have, made some mistakes. It didn't, however, take away from the fact that they still put out games that are received well. Rather than looking at the downs of the industry, focus on what it was built on, having fun PLAYING games.

Like I said, the MAIN sad thing I've seen this gen is the negativity from people who call themselves gamers. THAT'S sad!

They put quality games, sure. But the bottom line is they still lose money on every unit of their dead last console, a console which is not gaining ground on its closest competitor and is getting violated by the Wii, and their reputation tank. They haven't just made mistakes. Nintendo made a mistake with the GC. This is the kind of fuck-up that will haunt them until the day they finally decide that they have no option BUT to quit.
