One thing i don't like is the sex thing. Like i read they promised one sex scene for people. Promised, you have to promise people they will get a sex scene. I really don't get it. Why put it in there. I always feel when people put sex scenes in games they don't think it will do well so they want to sell sex. That is why i don't like God of War. But people say it's a great game or is that only because of the sex minigame.

It may be funny coming from me when i have a thread about nude mods and how i like them. But i guess if they had a gay sex scene as well i wouldn't be like this. I rather them have no sex scene at all then to have a specific sex scene. But i don't want this to go off topic or anything so i don't want to fight about that it's just my opinion. As long as we see some of the guy lol. (Im sure most don't want to see the guy)

yeah, they will have a sex scene, although I don't see them actually showing anything.  It will probably be just like the mass effect scene.  But if you don't want to see the scene, I'm sure you can just reject all the females in your group.  It won't be something that you have to choose to see.  The choice not to engage in romance is always there.

here is some footage from the consoles, looks a lot more polished.

The footage quality is so bad so I have a hard time detecting if this is worse looking than all the other trailers released so far (that must have been PC).

looks better to me, the lighting in particular seems extremely improved.  Animations aren't so rigid.  However, it definetly isn't the best possible video feed, but I can see how it is going to look on my tv, and I don't have any complaints.

Games don't have to be the best graphics ever made, they just have to be good.  This game seems to have good graphics (imo anyway).

Wow. Everything BioWare is fucking amazing

Dragon Age sales are very hard to predict.

I wonder if it can do 1.5 million on the X360 and 1 million on PS3 lifetime?
(and well over 1 million on PC of course)

I think it will be quite far away from Oblivion and Fallout 3 sales though (3 million lifetime on X360 alone).

true, this game could do exceptionally well, but it could also fall flat.   Throw in the fact that Borderlands comes out the exact same day and you have split the consumers on 2 very big games.  I think your estimates are probably good.  Although, a lot really depends on how well EA promotes this game when it comes out.  Right now, it isn't looking too great.

Whats Borderlands again? I think not thats a big game. Was it  a RPGish shooter in cyberpunk setting? Or Oil war shooter?

On second thought, 1.5 mill on X360 and 1 mill PS3 would be amazing, and too much to expect I guess. This game is far from same hype as Mass Effect dont u think?

Maybe it will sell more like Dead Space (another genre, but similar marketing and both EA) who sold 800,000 on X360 and 600k PS3 (and maybe will finish 1 mill + 0.7 mill if numbers updated).

I really would like to know the production costs of a game like Dragon Age!

yeah, borderlands is an RPGish shooter game.  It's being made by gearbox and is suppose to have  over a million different guns in the game.  (guns = loot like a dungeon crawler).  Suppose to be pretty good and gearbox is a fairly prestigous developer.

It could sell like dead space, but I think Bioware has a big enough following that it should sell past it.  I think your original guesstimate is right.  However, it really depends on how much EA pushes it like I've said.  considering how much they paid for Bioware... they better push it. :)

son of a whore. Looks like Dragon Age's release date might be slipping into November or even later.

This is my #1 title for the holiday season...so I'm pretty bummed that it got shifted, but no worries. BTW, I wish there was a hybrid class...I'm tugged to want some magical ability, but a Warrior is more fun to get blood on the blade!

It had a perfect timing for me, since it would have been released 1 day later from my birthday. Too bad it got moved to november. :/
