dont get me wrong, i like him as a player, but he's worth about £8m or £9m not £17m.

its like with United, we signed Valencia for £16m, imo, he's only worth about £11/12m.

best signings so far IMO, are United signing Owen on a free (given his proven abitlity, that really is a steal) and Barry for Man City at just £12m, imo Barry is worth about £20m, so they did a good job on that one atleast.

Thats the same Chelsea team that offered 17million for him along with Liverpool? Johnson is now an established international, he wont eat up the clubs money in wages and rearly gets injured. Owen is passed his prime, Valencia is a good signing though.

Youve got to ask yourself why there wasnt the interest in Owen despite him being a free transfer. Hull, Stoke and ManchesterUTD.

He has missed more games than he has played in maybe the last 4 or 5 seasons, why would this next 2 seasons be any different?

Johnson isnt even guranteed to start for England, if Neville or Brown start playing again, they will challenge him.

Agreed. Chelsea offered a high amount and Liverpool were forced to match it if they really wanted the player. Neville? No way, not anymore. Maybe Wes Brown he was quite impressive a couple of seasons ago.

Throughtout his career he has picked up injuries why would the next two years be any different? Yes he has said he thinks his injury worries are behind him, but he wasnt exactly going to say he will pick up an injury and be out for the rest of the season.

I still think Liverpool need a natural right Midfielder, someone like Valencia with a bit of pace. Kuyt is good but not an orthadox winger.

Neville when fit, is still pretty good, despite his age, he played well when fit last season.

Brown should be back soon, and when he is, he can do a great job at RB.
