I think that there are new rules, you're not tied until you reach the group stages.

thats right,if you don't make it you can play for another team i think

not sure inter fans would be happy with kuyt though,i wouldn't be

There was talk about putting Celtic and Rangers in the English premiership. If it ever does happened they would get relegated....multiple times.

well they wouldn't because they'd get english tv money and big sponsorship deals because they are massive clubs

but why should scottish clubs play in england,i never understand that talk

people always bring up cardiff and swansea,not sure why they play in england either,but there you go

Cardiff and Swansea are in because they are massive compared to the other Welsh clubs. Most of the Welsh top flight clubs average 500 fans per game. In Scotland the SPL clubs average around 7,000 meaning the Glasgow sides aren't classed as superior to the competition to justify being in the EPL.

Considering they attract players such as Kenny Miller and James Beatie I reckon they would be a fairly solid Championship sides if they were just dumped there.
