Well deserved win for Mexico. I hope they get through, I like the way they play.

I am half French but I do not want France to prosper from cheating.

I use to love the French team....including Desailly, Makelele, Henry, Viera, Pires and ZIDANE it was such a great team! This side is worse than England

Karma is a bitch. Henry got the French into the WC with a hand ball assist which set up the decisive goal knocking Ireland out. France deserve to be eliminated.  Keep the French on a bagel. 0 goals for 2010 just like 2002, 0 goal haul. 

Speaking as an Irishman, I don't particularly want France to get knocked out because of Henry's handball. If Ireland had got through under similar cirumstances it wouldn't have stopped me cheering for them, and I doubt anyone here would say different about their country.

However, speaking as a football fan, that was an absolutely shameful performance and they deserve to go home. All the talent they have on that team, probably top five in the world on paper, and they can't score a goal in two games. They epitomised everything that's wrong with football - players putting in performances for their wages but not for their country. Only so much blame can be laid at Domenech's door, the players didn't do the job and their work rate was terrible. Mexico were great and played out of their skins, and it's brilliant to see a team who are hungry to win outplay a technically superior but lazy, uninspired team. Although I don't think Ireland would have made it out of this group either, I can say with absolute certainty that we would have tried.
