Yes. But since it's a Sony published franchise, I don't think Level 5 will be revealing anything WKC related at the event.

it won't be a spin off.  i believe it's going to be WKC2 (just like VC2).  establishing a successful new franchise is so difficult in the gaming industry, especially in Japan.  Sony and Level 5 won't let this franchise finish with just one game.

evidence:

1. they changed the title from "White Knight Chronicles" to" White Knight Chronicles: Ancient Heartbeat" at the last minute before japan launch

2. the ending of the first WKC strongly hints that there will be at least one sequel 

Oh my. Some people are looking forward to WKC. Do yourself a favour and cross that off your list, then burn it. Worst JRPG I have played this generation and I played Lost Odyssey. Level 5 would do well to go handheld only where sales are great and the games are actually pretty good.

Just imagine the reaction if the next WKC game is actually...for PSP.  

you are right about that.  they didn't include WKC at their 2007 and 2008 events.
