Gran Turismo 5, Average 40

Please tell me how you beat the entire game in under 40hours, i would love to know this?   The game has 2 24 hour endurance races alone, 4 if you count both A and B spec modes.

There are only like 9 races per level. In the beginner level they are like 10 minutes long each. Also I didn't count B-Spec because that's the same game in a different perspective. 40 hours is what it took me to beat every single race in the even list, and all the specials. If I wanted to max the game (gold on everything), it would probably take 60-80 hours.

So what you're saying is you didn't beat anything.  You can't just play part of a game and say you beat it.

I beat the whole game! A spec, and Specials. Every Event in the game was beaten. B spec is a repeat of A spec in a different perspective, so I would only count that for the 100% completion. There is nothing else in the game to beat.

You need to be level 40 A-spec to beat all the A-spec events. This should include many 24hour endurance races to grind to the last A-spec race, which is another 24hour race.    B-spec is also half the game, so don't post crap lies about beating games.

You don't have to race the 24 hour races youself though. There are only 5 series in the game, with 9 races each. There there are a few special event races, offered at 3 difficulties each. Of those series, Beginner takes about 2 hours, Amature doesn't take much longer. Professional Series is about 6 hours, and in the end, many of the Extreme series cups take little over an hour each to complete.

Don't call me a liar, it's really not that long of a game, Older GT's and Forza 3 are longer. Geez, anything I say about GT5 gets critisizes. People are too protective of this game.

Its like you can't stop making stuff up.  You never beat the game, and i have doubts you even played it.

I just don't know what to say to you. Pretty major accusations your making. Have you even beated the game yourself? Remember I'm not talking about 100% completion, just getting a medal in each event and progressing. I also included Special Cups, as there are only what 8 of them? 100% completion would probably take closer to 100 hours, but that I have not done, and have no interest in doing.

Game took me 40 hours to beat myself, I found the number of races and general difficulty have dropped since the PS2 installments. Maybe I'm just getting better, but there are less cups in GT5.

But they still included the damn Vitz cup.....

But they still included the damn Vitz cup.....

I guess if we determine beating games based off your views, then i loaded up Halo Reach, that took 1min so it took me 1min to beat that game.

Wow, okay I'm just going to stop talking to you. To beat a FPS, would be to play the game, all the levels and see an ending. For GT5, I beat all the events, and got to the ending. Is there a difference? No. Just because I don't include B-Spec, which is not actually a new part of the game, doesn't mean anything. Do you have to unlock all the ending in a RPG to beat it? No. Do you have to beat a game on every difficulty setting? No.I got to the end cinematics in GT5, and I beat all the specials. It was beaten in 40 hours.

I mean, if I beat Halo single player, I still beat it. I don't have to do it again in co-op to claim that. Nor do I have to play a match of Firefight on every level.

I only counted Forza 3 as the time it took to beat Season Play, not the time to beat all the races. Why call me on GT, but not Forza? Beating all the races in Forza would be 100% completion, just like Beating B and A spec in GT5. Older GT games were significantly longer, and I gave them appropriate times. I only claimed the average was 40 hours for GT5, so get over youself. Stop insulting honest gamers just because the game you love is shorter then you wanted it to be.

Get over yourself.

BTW my max for Fallout 3 GOTY edition is the time it took me to beat the game with all the DLC missions.

Get over yourself.

You need to get over self and stop making stuff up, you never beat anything and i doubt you even played the game.    What level did you even make it to in apec...

The fact you discount B-spec alone makes your post nonsense.

lvl 40

B-spec is a repeat of A spec, where your not even in the car Why would you count that?

I beat A-spec, and I included the specials (which I don't technically have to to say I beat the game). I got to the end game credits. It's over. I have no interest in playing the game as a coach. If I were to complete the game (100%), I would include B-Spec.

How did I not complete this game? I reached level 40, beat every race, and saw the ending cinematic! I guess end game cinematics are no longer indication of the end of the game. Is that true?

So according to your logic, Halo, Gears and Call of Duty are over 100 hour long games because you need to reach top ranks in multiplayer to say you beat the game now right? You can't just clear the campaign, no it's not enough. End game cinematics mean nothing here too right? geez

I'm not going to respond to you anymore, I have a feeling you single out anyone who beat GT5 in a realistic time.

Why do Gran Turismo 3 and 4 have 250 and 500 hours as minimums? When I played those games, I remember averaging about 1% completion an hour. I don't even think there is 250 hours worth of possible racing if you include the 24 hour races.

One person I know has 50% completion in GT3 and he did that in under 45 hours. I played a bit longer overall, but I remember my completion being about the same.

Don't think someone read the rules on that one. Max times also make no sence, 1,000 hours is an hour a day for 3 years. GT3 and 4 are nowhere nearly that length, no game is, except maybe WOW.

Everyone who has played GT5 knows are you talking out your ass.  You never beat GT5, you never reached level 40 i still doubt you have ever played the game.  You need to do many 24 hour races alone to reach level 40.  So just shut your lying mouth.

GT5 - average 40 hours

I said it before, so don't count my completion time twice. Not as long as older GT's.
