Forums - Gaming Discussion - How long does it take to beat this game?

I beat TP in around 37 hours. And some of that was... you know... being idle while i get food or whatnot..... And I didn't rush through it.

^Please be specific I'm not sure what TP stands for, is it Tales of Phantasia?

Final Fantasy VIII - Max: 340 hours
------------
Surely that has to be a typo. 140 hours max maybe- but 340? It only takes about 100+ hours to get every card/junction maxed/magic maxed/ level maxed/ side quest.

^Is 140 hours your max? or just a random number

If so I'll drop it to 240 hours max, to satisfy both of you

My times for some games already there:
Final Fantasy IV - 18hours
Sacred Stones - 14hours (30h average?, wut)
MP3 - 23hours
Parasite Eve - 8hours (15 average?, whoa o.O)
Super Mario RPG - 13hours
Uncharted - 7hours

And few that aren't there:
Sonic Unleashed (Wii): 14hours
Phantasy Star IV: 19hours (and this was slow, it took me like 6-7hours to find skills, before that I just used spells -.-)
Lunar: Eternal Blue (Sega CD): 36hours (including epilogue)

All those are first times.

Dragon Quest IV DS - First Time - 11 hours, 5 minutes

How did SMRPG get to 26? 3 of us had 13, 15 and 25.

Final Fantasy games only as those I know the times for. I consider 'min' as time from start to defating end boss, not really going round getting stuff, and 100% until I do enough stuff where I think I can't be bothered to spend 16 hours playing once minigame to get one weapon. But below are minimums. I'll check and EDIT this later with my 100%

Final Fantasy VII - Min: 25-30hours - 100% (or what I bother to do) 44hrs apparently
Final Fantasy VIII - Min: 30 hours to Ultimecia, 100% (or what I bother to do) 50hrs
Final Fantasy IX - min: 30-35hrs, 100% 50 hrs
Final Fantasy X - min: can't find save files...that's not a good thing, I had a nigh on perfect save file somewhere.
Final Fantasy X-2 - ....as above.
Final Fantasy XII - Min 40hrs, 100% (I consider this as close to 100% as I can as some of those IDIOTIC weapons I am never going to bother to get), 90hrs (defeating all extra mini bosses and hunts).

...Okay so this post is only half there...sorry, don't know why I bothered.

EDIT: I checked my file saves

Hmm, pie.

You forgot the 2 other people that said 32 and 40 hours

@The Fury, any bit of information helps keep em coming :)

Also to everyone please don't write abbreviations, write the full name so I don't get anything mixed up.

I can't find any of them. You sure you're not mixing Super Mario RPG with Super Mario Galaxy? On first page, 2 users played it 32 and 40 hours.

3 more games I found my times for (first time):
Brave Story: New Traveler -  17h
Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure (PS1) - 8h
NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits - 3h
