Forums - Sony - Retailers: ( Not Expect M.A.G. ) Until Early 2010

Wow.

I see why they would want to move it out of Modern Warfare 2's way, but the lineup this year is looking pretty bleak.

Sony NEED the Slimline or a pricecut accompanied with Gran Turismo 5 imo.

If GT5 came out, I think that'll make it a very complete year for Sony (Yakuza 3, Flower, inFamous, KZ2, UC2, and GT5).

Well duh, 2010's the year of the PS3 baby!!!

(in actuality EVERY YEAR was the year of the PS3. Remember 1746?)

Did you forget, we are in "Generation Playstation".

And i agree, Gran Turismo 5 would make it a decent year, but dont forget Final Fantsy 13 in Japan either, that has the potential to move a lot of consoles too.

Yakuza 3 was so fucking GAR.

@Akvod America won its independence because it was the year of the PS3.

Infact WW2 ended on the EXACT Day of the PS3.Not year but TEH DAY!

2007 wasn't, and I don't think 2009 will be either. 2008 was though, and 2010 could be too.

Isn't it funny how the PS3's 2009 lineup looked so much better than the 360's earlier this year? Unless GT5 gets announced for Nov/Dec, I'm giving the year to the 360.

In terms of hits so far this year, it's all been in Sony's favour, so I'm not fussed - will still be working my way through Q1 and Q2 exclusives come Boxing Day...

Killzone 2 - 91

MLB - 90

flower - 87

inFamous - 84

Good times.

Actually it should have been 1776 >.< I messed up. Oh wait, 1776 was also the year of the PS3, NEVERMIND =)

Sigh, today is another good day for the PS3.

Uncharted, Ratchet, and Demon's Souls are confirmed and all signs are pointing to GT5 in Nov/December. Plus Final Fantasy in Japan.

Only Microsoft's holiday '07 can beat that.

Uncharted 2, Ratchet, and Demon's Souls is pretty fine.  Throw in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (Is this really exclusive though?  I mean, it is old, but it has a new co-op mode and online...), and it's a fine line-up, no worse than last years which was only Resistance 2, Socom, Motorstorm: PR and LBP.  And there are reports of a Dec release of GT5... but even if it's not true, I'm sure the four games I listed are fine.  I mean, Microsoft has Halo: ODST, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Forza 3, and Nintendo has Wii Fit Plus (right?) and NSMB Wii iirc.

Sales wise, obviously Wii fit and NSMB wii will win, but I think both Microsoft and Sony have really good lineups for the Christmas season, and it's not really a point to have a whole lot extra going on in this season with all the action Activision is pumping into line-ups.  Guitar Hero, DJ hero, Tony Hawk(lol) and Modern Warfare 2 are all $100+ games, all commanding those coveted holiday dollars that are less and less given the reception... Sony pushing titles to next year like MAG and Heavy Rain is smart cause they'd get slaughtered compared to what Ass creed and MW2 are going to do this Christmas.  They would end up like Motorstorm: PR and SOCOM.  Better to release them when they're not competing for a set number of dollars.
