Piracy is higher on the PC than any other platform. So surly some of your estimated 10million will have been pirated or have you taken that into account?

Pirated copies never count for anything. I'm basing on the fact that 2 millions copies of COD4 were sold on PC in just a few markets in less than 2 months, and since then it sold amazing and kept charting in Top PC charts, and even now it still sells and shows up every now and then in some charts.
Piracy has nothing to do with this.
Whatever you all just go ahead and flame shio, I'm sure it will sell close to 10 million on PC. Digital distribution is a lot bigger than everybody thinks here. But I don't want to go in any arguments because the only thing you will hear is: just prove it then. That while Stalker which was never the biggest seller on any list (retail or DD) is already over 2 millions, if Stalker did that (a game which most of you don't even know I bet) I'm sure COD 4 is over 4 million already if not more.
Well, the only company I know that is still having extraordinary sales and legs in PC is Blizzard. The PC gaming market is now alive just by MMO , i can't see non-Blizzard single-player games selling well.

Why do you even reply when you clearly don't know anything about PC gaming????
People are really console-biased in this thread, and it seems their opinions on digital distribution is mainly based on the very new PSN and XBLA, which are immature in the marketplace compared to LEGAL distribution in the PC market. Also, if shio's numbers are right (which I can't prove or disprove) then piracy also doesn't factor in; he's just talking about actual sales, not copies made.
Enjoy

Where are all these PC gamers that pay for digital download games? Why would people pay for a digital copy when they can go on torrent and get for on free just as easily.
Like DirtyP said, shio always exaggerates DD sales. Those $2 billion of money revenue in a year was mostly from WoW. DD revenue from other genres is small.
lol, ok shio. I concede all your assumptions are real no matter what real life tells us :)

What??? that's a stupid comment why would you pay for your 360 games when you can pirate them, Why would you buy dvd's when you can pirate movies???? Doesn't that sound incredibly stupid???
I don't know if shio exaggerates DD, but you and all the others are definitely underestimating it.

Because it's a lot more compliacted to pirate on the X360.
You need to mod the console, you need a PC to download the games and then burn them.
