In a recent feature talking about the 'Top Ten Game Engines' IGN listed Naughty Dog's Engine as one of the best.

More interesting then that though is the following information given in the summery.

It is also our understanding that Naughty Dog is sharing some of its knowledge with The Ice Team, the secret Sony studio working on the base Edge Tools kit for the improvement of all PS3 games. The developer also dropped a hint our way at E3 that there might be a new Jak & Daxter next year.

That would be good, because theres no doubt that uncharted 2 will be a success and if they made a 3rd one only a year later that would suck. This is good, every year they could publish a uncharted game, and then a Jak game next year.

Please oh please make another Jak game next year! I do love Uncharted and Uncharted 2 looks like a great improvment over the first one. But really now, I'd love another Jak game (Made by Naughty Dog, High Impact can go suck a popsicle). Uncharted or Jak I'll be getting it! =)

That part of the quote got me excited... does that mean SONY is going to make the Naughty Dog Engine available and easy to use for other developers?
