JaggedSac said: So Shio, the Asian countries that MIGHT have been left out of the numbers that I provided links to, would have given the FPS game the lead for PC? So now Asian countries can attribute more FPS sales than the Western world? Because it would have to well over double what the PC sales in the western world contributed.
And about the famous pc legs. You are saying that the PC version of CoD4 has sold more in two years than Starcraft did over like 10, one of the most revered and loved pc games? So in 10 years CoD4 will have 20 million sales? LOL. Dude you should just stop. I have not met many people who like making shit up as much as you do. |
If COD4 had a much stronger opening than Starcraft or a Sims game, it would show that COD4 could indeed reach 10 millions (or be somewhat near it) much faster. While the sales from asian countries still count, they're not much and I honestly don't know how non-blizzard PC games sell in Asia (though I rember that a Ys game on PC sold over 500k in Japan). The sales from Oceania and South-America also count, even if little.
The biggest difference between Starcraft and COD4 is that the PC gaming market is far bigger than it was 11 years ago, and it's easier to have great sales than before. That's why I want to clarify How the PS3 and X360 versions sold in the few markets until December 31, 2007, so we can have an idea of how the PC versions sold in just a few markets and no digital distribution.
