Well, I guess they could use this for numbers.. But I think they are also going to make a buttload of money off of advertising, along side this convincing people to go gold.

Absolutely. MS is telling advertisers 'Hay, we have several thousand gamers who are able to buy a car. Advertise here and you won't get them skipping ads, because if they do something else, the show will start back and they may miss something.'

Do not get me wrong. I like it a lot and enjoy it because it's free, but for Gold members, we shouldn't be hit with those ads. Silver, yes, but not paid members, you know?

The purpose of every game is just so that the company who created it will benefit from it somehow

What should Gold members see during the ads?  Dead air and me making my avatar dance?  I would rather have an ad playing to be honest.

Thanks - I didn't know that. (rolleyes)  Of course - what I am saying is - we don't get achievements or any real incentives. You have fun playing the beta, but in the end, MS has several thousand beta testers who aren't getting paid and yes, they play the game, but get hit with ads. That's all I am saying.

^^Actually, rumor has it that there will be achievements. Which also leads credence that it will be pay to play in the end. I guess it all depends on how many people play the beta as to how much money they can get from advertisers.
