FF13 on one disk, so how spacious is the biggets dvd ?

Around the Network

Holy shit....a 200GB disc????

Massive...bye bye WeeYippie adn Xbox360.........start to expect HUGE MASSIVE games by 2009

31 million PS3's by end of this year

Yeah, i agree with you Enlightment, cause the sole reason the PS3 is failing is the Blu-Ray space limitations right?

@gamingdevel --- hahahlolol that is funny.

OT: Holy crap. That is pretty massive. I want this just for computer backup.

Sadly, you'd need to shell out as much as the whole computer to buy a BD writer IF there's any of them out.

is this the same tech as the VMD stuff (multi-layering), if so it means that they could make a DVD 4 or 8 layers and all the Wii/360 would need would be a firmware.

 No, don't.

Usually the most space is taken up by FMV and uncompressed audio, thus you can have games that take up huge amounts of space but aren't huge or massive, look at Heavenly Sword for example, they kept on going on about how it NEEDED blu-ray, it turned out that it had something like 11GB of uncompressed audio.

100GB isn't needed this generation unless you want ridiculous amounts of FMV and uncompressed audio (which FFXIII will have)

Yes, because so many games and movies flop because they are on more than one disc. Oh wait, they don't.

Good for this larger disc, but this does not prove it was a bad idea of the 360 to stick with DVD.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Heavenly Sword takes up 29 gigs and it's a 6 hour game. Mass Effect is a 40+ hour game and takes up 7.2 gig. As you can see, bigger isn't always better as far as storage goes.
