This just came into my mind when one of my friend sold his Wii after E3 and thought he likes Marios and Metroid, since he didin't have anything to play.
So can you survive with only Nintendos consoles?

I have never regretted buying a Wii, because I am unashamedly a fanboy of Nintendo's first party. That said, if it was the only console I owned, this would be the worst generation ever for me.
I could during the late 80's and early 90's but I couldn't now.
I found PS - N64 and PS2 - Gamecube to be perfect combo's though!
Don't know yet for this gen since I don't own any of the current consoles...
It just depends how much you play, and there are enough games on each platform to support your average gamer

Well i had only Wii for 2 years and i was just fine, if i havent bought a 360 (which is my secondary console) i wouldnt have problems. I only had Ninty consoles in the Past (GC last gen, but i was not much of a gamer, N64 and NES before that)
I think a lot of people underrate Wii's gaming Library there is a lot of good games out there . But a lot of them are very different to popular 360 or PS3 games, its just a matter of taste.
And there is always the Virtual Console..
I honestly don't know because I must be the only person on the site who has never owned a Nintendo console. I've owned all their handhelds though.

I am happier with the Wii than I was with N64, GameCube or MegaDrive.
I find the title of the thread odd considering how much waiting has been happening on PS3 owners parts for their games.

I'm not flaming you or anything, I'm legitimately curious as to why that is. I know that, as a fan of Nintendo's first party, N64 reigns supreme out of the consoles you mentioned, they had (IMO) the best titles in all the best franchises, MK, Zelda, Mario, Mario RPG, Donkey Kong, Starfox, etc. etc. Gamecube wasn't as solid as N64 in that regard, but it seemed to have better third party support than Wii does. So what makes Wii your favorite? Games? Motion control? The combination of both?
yea, and when i've played through all my games (still haven't finished metroid or zelda), i can replay gc classics like paper mario: ttyd and mario sunshine
