Forums - Gaming - If Activision stop support Sony will Wii get better support.

This is exactly why they won't drop that support. It's either support Sony with all others, lose a lot of money on more or less everything, or work for Wii alone. The optimal business solution would be to support everyone.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It's unlikely to happen in any event so a pointless debate imo

Activision just lost 6 million WoW subscribers in China, if they stop supporting Sony they just die...

That, or Kotick the funny bluffer is just fired. I guess Sony boss got on his nerves for some reason.

I find this whole story strange, playstation brand (PS2/PS3/PSP) is a major part of Activision business and revenue, there are lots of Sony songs they would loose in Guitar Hero, there also Sony movie licenses in some of their games, they couldn't release those games either... That just doesn't make sense.

On the other hand, PS3-only users wouldn't loose much, only Guitar Hero (bested by Rockband long ago) and Call of Duty (playable on PC and bested online by Killzone 2 in my opinion). But nothing will happen.

I think Wii will still get a lot of support from them.

they woould maybe , like 50/50 chance i think .

Damn! You make a lot of threads!
OT: PC and 360 have gotten the best support so far (especially PC) and I don't see any reason why they would stop that given sales of CoD 4 and such games.
They've had much success on these platforms and will most likely continue down the road they're already on.

We all know it is an empty threat, what they would do with those extra resources is pointless theorising
