Let's not bash Slimebeast. I think eh's a pretty cool guy (and, I've been reliably informed, doesn't afraid of anything).

This situation is very similar to what happened to the "textureless" MGS4. It also went through a major graphical overhaul just prior to release. This just means that we have to learn not to judge a game's graphics until just before it releases.

They look just like overhauled textures, but still, even as textures they are mighty impressive :o



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Have you opened up the two image I linked just above in new tabs? It's hard to see the leap in quality from the way I posted it in the first place. What's really shocking isn't the jump in quality - although that certainly is impressive - it's that there's only a month seperating the two builds. Usually you only see this difference in quality when comparing screenshots that are a year or more apart, or are from a game and its sequal.


Of course i chekced them out. He only got a new coat, the old one was brown-khaki and now it's colored and stuff, plus his hand and skin got a filter effect. It's not that much upgrade for a public trailer that's supposed to sell the game.

This 'wow improvement in grafix" is a mith. Only minor upgrades happen during the last ½ year (or actually it's more than one whole year). It was stupid all the time when new 'upgrades' happened to Killzone, they were minor improvement.s

And some games even become less good looking since the first trailer (Oblivion jail scene had more lighting/shadow advanced grafix in E3 2005 than in the final game 2006).

So nothing against Uncharted 2 but this wasnt worthy of a thread.

Something tells me if this was in reference to a 360 game, you wouldn't be saying that.
