It'd have to be virtual reality, that's the only next step I can see happening. And you can guarantee that if Nintendo do release a VR Wii 2 that it'll still be backwards compatible with just about every previous Nintendo console (ie Wii titles will still work, Gamecube titles will still work and VC games will still work). Perhaps they could incorporate DS compatibility using a VR helmet/glasses and gloves in place of the stylus..?

the problem with virtual reality is how to view it.

No such tv exists. The only things possible would have to be a head sensor, which nobody would be able to view, thereby killing the multiplayer market that nintendo is trying to cultivate.

Aye, it's hard to say where to go next. Frankly, I'm not sure. I think it's just about ensuring a diversity of games and finding ways to get people to try it.

I can't see why you can't display the view the player has on the telly as well as on the glasses. That'd work wouldn't it..?

yeah I thought of that too, but then each person who was playing would need the glasses, and wouldn't be able to see anything else going on in the room, besides it going to the tv.
