yep, Nintendo stopped publishing it on its own. Now you have to get trilogy, which is a far better deal anyways.
I don't think I'll buy the trilogy. Why would I when I already own 1 and 2 and all I want todo is play 3? I'd buy the trilogy if I didn't already own the first two, but it would seem like a waste of money now.
Plus the trilogy isn't out until September.

Because you can sell your Metroid Prime 1 & Metroid Prime 2 for about $12 (whatever that is in pounds) on he internet and use it to buy Trilogy which has faaaar better controls and will be the definitive version of all of those games.

prob because:
a) its sales slowed dowm to a snails pace
b) theyre re-releasing it in the trilogy and keeping 3 on the shelf might take some sales away from this (you for one)
c) becasue of a) theyre better off making extra copies of mario kart, wii play etc to make more money
i suggest you check out ebay if all you want is 3.

I've never gotten rid of a game, I'm not going to start now. I think the original Metroid Prime on the Gamecube will always be the definitive version of that game. I like knowing that I have the original copy of such a momentous game.
I can get Metroid Prime 3 new off Amazon for about £10 more than the GAME price, so I think that's what I'll do. You'd think that GAME would keep at least one copy of each of the really good titles on the off chance that someone might want to buy them. How much shelf (or in the case of the online store, warehouse) space does that really take up? Not a lot.

How will the GameCube version be better when the Wii version will have IR controls, 480p, and 16x9?

Some people prefer more traditional controls. That's my take on it at least. |
Doesn't the trilogy have an option for gamecube controls same as RE4?

Oh I'm sure the Trilogy version will be great, but it won't be an original gamecube disc version of the game, that's what I'm getting at. From a collection standpoint, I'd rather keep my copy of Metroid Prime 1, the GC version.
