No offense to the origional poster but different voice actors would not have improved Conduit's sales at all. Who looks into the voice actors when buying a video game? With all the internet hype and word of mouth these sales are about as good as it gets.

I think that, for the most part, what Dodece said is, in fact, the truth. The standard for success is lower. Everytime a game sells what many would deem "underwhelming" will always be rebutted with "Well, this game had a low budget, so it made Company X a good profit". Or a link will be posted saying "Publisher Y is happy with Game Z sales", even when Game Z only moves 200K units.

According to you guys' standard, the Wii just doesn't need to sell as many units as "the industry beyond that system" aka the HD twins, because it just doesn't cost as much to make a game. Is there something wrong with that sentiment? I know I personally don't agree with it, but Dodece just got chewed out for it

I hope you know a majority of the people here aren't even being serious BMaker11. Even the OP isn't serious. And you can tell he is not being serious because he's saying actors and all this unimportant stuff affected sales. The only reason he made it was to see if people would actually read the whole post or not. The only one that seems serious here is YOU. And there is no point considering no one is taking the thread serious.

Currently enjoying: Monster Hunter Tri.

Although I did read the part where he was comparing its' sales to the HD games. That part was serious

I have never bought a game because there was a certain actor lending his voice to it.

This is a rare treat amp. I haven't seen you start a thread in ages.

Maybe the voice should have been done by bruce campbell?

Thanks.  I haven't seen you give a compliment in like... ever!

I love the Bruce Campbell suggestion.  His campy acting as use of chainsaw are second to none.

it has performed better than Killzone on PS2 on its two first weeks. And with a proper marketing, Sega can give the title strong legs

Posting 'final' first & second week number before European sales are in = fail.

Also, if you compare Haze 1st + 2nd week numbers for America only (which is the only fair way to comare these), The Conduit outsold Haze by more than 40k for that time period. The Killzone 2 numbers are also not quite as impressive (though still very good) when you compare only American sales. If your post is serious, than it's a pretty sad attempt IMO. Also, The Conduit should have better legs.

This game will sell a million or more, there's no need to spin.
